12.Special Note: I would like to place a custom order for a genuine alligator leather strap for my vintage Must de Cartier Tank (SM / Small Model).
Because I am using the original vintage Cartier gold-plated folding deployant clasp (the thread-through style), the strap requires a very specific build. Please see the specifications below:
• Lug Width: 15mm
• Buckle Width: 14mm
• Strap Length: Equal lengths. (Note: My wrist size is 15cm)
• Holes: NO HOLES (completely holeless tail).
• Keepers: NO KEEPERS (no leather loops on the strap).
• Thickness Profile: It needs to be ultra-thin and flat. Around 2.0mm at the lugs, tapering down to 1.5mm – 1.6mm at the tails. The edges of the tails must be shaved thin and completely flat (no bulky side-stitching at the tips) so they can smoothly thread into the vintage Cartier deployant clasp.
• Leather Preference: Black American Alligator. I would prefer small scale / flank cut patterns so the scales look proportional to the delicate SM case size. Matte or semi-gloss finish.
